WHO WE ARE

MGBadgePhotoOp_edited_edited.jpg

The Douglas County, GA Master Gardener Extension Volunteer (MGEV) Program connects UGA Extension, plant enthusiasts, and communities across the state. MGEVs share UGA Extension consumer horticulture programming about selection and care of plants for ornamental value, recreation, and home food production. Master Gardeners teach community members how to use plants and gardening to improve their environment, personal health, and quality of life.

WHAT WE DO

Learn, Serve, Grow

We are passionate volunteers who share science-based gardening knowledge with our community. We lead hands-on workshops, support local schools and gardens, answer horticulture questions, and host public events that promote sustainable and practical gardening practices. Whether it’s planting native species, managing pests, or improving soil health, we’re here to help you grow with confidence.
